A new exhibition featuring The Papestry by locally based artist
Matthew D. Wright. Spanning nearly 6 meters in length, The Papestry
meticulously details the buildings lining the iconic Lincoln landmarks
of the Bailgate and Steep Hill. Alongside The Papestry is a film
featuring the process of creating this stunning piece, as well as some
of the stories that were drawn out as a result. The Usher Gallery is
open Thursday to Monday, free admission.

Enjoy ‘Colourful Countryside’ at the Harding House Gallery which
features unique glass art by local artist Adele Billinghay. Fund the

Friday 10 July to Sunday 12 July
The Lincoln Jazz Festival 2026 takes place at Lincoln Cathedral from
July 10th to July 12th. Now in its fifth year, the UK's premier
cathedral jazz festival features around 70 musicians performing a
vibrant mix of swing, blues, and classical-jazz fusion. The weekend
features a blend of ticketed headliners and free outdoor performances
across multiple spaces in and around the Cathedral. To learn more,

Watch out for the 90 years of Bomber Command summer trail from Friday 10 July. The IBCC is open from 9.30am to 5.00pm every day except Monday, although it is open on Bank Holiday Mondays. Entry is free and parking is only £3 for the whole day. For more info go to internationalbcc.co.uk

Step back in time to when Lincoln Castle was a prized fortress and
endured dramatic sieges in the 12th and 13th centuries! The second of
which was most famously defended by the greatest knight there ever was
- William Marshall
Experience the sights and sounds of medieval combat as skilled knights
and men-at-arms demonstrate the training and discipline required for
battle. Watch as they put their abilities to the test in thrilling
tournament displays, both on foot and on horseback, competing for
honour, glory, and the defence of the Castle.
Alongside the action, discover the fascinating story behind the Magna
Carta—and the crucial role William Marshall played in preserving its
legacy.
The event is included as part of the Castle Day ticket and free for
annual pass holders to enjoy. 10am to 5pm.
Sunday 12 and Monday 13 July
‘Explore with Paws’ on Lincoln Castle’s Dog Friendly Days! Dogs aren’t
usually allowed in the Castle grounds but on dog friendly days your
dog can explore with you. From the banks of the Norman Motte to the
Prison Cells, your four legged friend can follow you on a journey back
through history. The Grounds are free to enter and enjoy, all other
admissions apply
In Uphill Lincoln, on Castle Hill, enjoy a stroll around the Lincoln Farmers’ Market packed with local producers. Delicious delights will be waiting for you from 9am.
Pop along to the Lincoln Cat Care Jumble Sale at the Royal Naval Club, Coulson Road, Lincoln from 12pm to 2pm to see if you can pounce on a bargain whilst helping cats in need!

Lincoln's 1940s Weekend is back in full swing! Step back in time and
immerse yourself in the spirit of 1940s Britain with two unforgettable
days of vintage fun in Lincoln's historic Cathedral Quarter and across
the city. This much-loved, free event has become a highlight of
Lincoln's summer calendar—and this year promises to be the biggest
celebration yet!
